Rhetoric about Iran from Bush and many conservatives has resulted in several articles about another Premptive Strike, specifically on Tehran.
On wag suggested that we should bomb Iran first to preempt Israel from using the new nuclear-capable submarines from starting a nuclear war; another suggested that we consider using our nuclear weapons to prove our might.
Any wonder I cry at unexpected times?
If the Republicans are considered stronger in defense than the Democrats - as is shown in the polls - and if every scary press release or appearance from the White House increases Bush's ratings (as has been demonstrated), and....if the Republican Majority of Congress is at risk in the mid-term elections, then the Republicans would think that it would make political sense to bomb Iran anyway - nuclear power/weapons be damned.
I have fears that this world is heading for a thousand years of bleakness.
My hopes have dwindled for a Global World - forget Globalization, that is all about Corporations, not people.
I think there is a 60/40 chance that the USA will attack Iran before mid-October. I doubt we would have the nerve to use atomic weaponry, but only doubts; I give this an 80/20 chance that we would use conventional weapons. I think this will happen near the end of September.
Today, GWB revealed that "Torture works!", especially in conjunction with "secret prisons". No wonder that the White House is trying to get exemptions to the recent War Crimes proclamations; Israel is running scared, too. They *are* criminals.
We must divorce our People from our Government, but we must hold those officials in power accountable - the US rushed cluster bombs to Israel! The majority of those who died in Lebanon were civilians!
Any wonder I cry at unexpected times?
This is not the America I grew up loving.
