Interrogation is not punishment...

...so, I will interrogate you for the next fifty years - anything goes - and it won't be construed as "cruel and unusual punishment".

It now seems that the Presumed Innocent have less rights than the Proven Guilty.

Cop: "I saw you run that stop sign"
You: "Officer, no I didn't"
(brutality ensues: "Confess!" )

You go to court - eventually - and they find you innocent.
Justice.

Our Founding Fathers spin violently in their graves.

Thank you Justice Scalia.
